Mike, I have not used a Primos Trigger Stick, but heard they work well from Roy Yeager. Roy is a writer for Handgun Hunters International, and runs the Facebook group, Tennesse Handgun Hunters. https://www.facebook.com/groups/766207080186278 I'm sure he would be glad to answer your question. He also has an article coming out soon which will be discussing to combination.

Doug, Sorry I didn't answer the second part of your question. You are good to go without ordering anything extra. The monopod or tripod will have a 3/8-16 stud that will screw directly into the fluid head.

So far, it has been very stable platform to shoot from. I’ve been using the suggested monopod. It’s like hunting from a bench rest. I took it hunting this past weekend but no shots on big game yet. Would recomend.

This rest is great! I have mounted it up on a carbon fiber tripod, and it is rock-steady. At the range, it is easy to get on target quickly, and has extended my effective range by 2x! I intend to use it in a few months on a handgun hunt for Axis deer, looking forward to using it. I shoot large-bore revolvers, and this rest is easy to set up for these handguns. Was a little concerned when I first saw the rest. After contacting them and they responded back quickly with answers I purchased one. Works just as they say. Solid off a tripod. In practice to get use to the rest noticed the group was as good as off a bench. Just wish I had this a couple of years ago. It works!
